Alumni Association Annual Meeting

All SIUE Alumni Association members are invited to attend the annual meeting.

  • Presentation of 2014-2015 scholarships
  • Welcoming of new board members and officers

SIUE Pharmacy Student 1 of 12 in U.S. to Receive Leadership Award Pharmacy Teams Visit Local Businesses and Perform 300 Blood Pressure Screenings

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the ASHP Research and Education Foundation have chosen Kimberlee Kabbes (Class of 2016) as one of 12 recipients across the U.S. for a 2013-2014 ASHP Student Leadership award.

She received an ASHP drug information reference library and $2,000 in cash as a winner. Kabbes, an Effingham native, is just beginning a one-year term of service as president of the School of Pharmacy's local chapter of the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHSP), which is affiliated with the national ASHP organization.

The SIUE School of Pharmacy visited more than 40 local businesses during "Roll Up Your Sleeves, Edwardsville" on Friday afternoon, April 11.

In a citywide wellness event, teams of 2-3 pharmacy students and one faculty pharmacist visited Edwardsville businesses and performed blood pressure screenings for more than 300 individuals.

Twelve teams, which included 30 students and 10 faculty pharmacists, covered the city for five hours.

SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame

Nominations are being sought for the 2014 Class of the SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes alumni who:

  • Have achieved outstanding success in their chosen field
  • Have demonstrated a commitment to their community and our alma mater
  • Reflect positively on SIUE alumni and our University

We will induct the Class of 2014 on Friday, Oct. 3, as part of Homecoming Weekend.

SIUE School of Pharmacy Students Educate more than 9,000 Grade Schoolers



SIUE School of Pharmacy students participated in service learning projects in March resulting in the education of more than 9,000 grade school children in Madison and St. Clair counties. Eighty first-year (P1) pharmacy students participated by creating and communicating nutrition-based wellness messages for children enrolled in preschool through third grade.

Attention Basic Alumni Association Members!

Did you know that ALL SIUE graduates are now members of the Alumni Association? All alumni receive a FREE membership and basic benefits! Membership cards were mailed out in 2013 to all graduates and are now issued to new graduates as they leave the University. Cougars on the Move



SIUE Cougars from across the United States recently gathered together for a weekend in Washington, D.C. We enjoyed the beautiful sights of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and participated in a welcome reception, capitol tour, fireworks and dinner cruise, and a deliciously elegant brunch at Old Ebbitt Grill.
