U.S. News & World Report
SIUE has for the second consecutive year been cited by its peers and reported in U.S.News & World Report as an “up and coming school.” SIUE was listed as one of only three Midwestern regional universities for recently making “innovative changes in the areas of faculty, student life, campus life and facilities.”  In addition, for the sixth consecutive year, SIUE was listed in the senior capstone experience category, among 15 universities—including Brown, Princeton and Stanford—for its comprehensive program measuring the competency of graduating seniors.  SIUE is also among the top 20 public universities in the best Regional Universities Midwest (master’s granting) category for the fourth consecutive year.  Click here for the full story.

Fundraising 101 Workshop
Join the Alumni Association and the Office of Educational Outreach for an educational workshop on the basics of fundraising on Wednesday, Sept. 22. The panel will share their experience with the following topics: building and maintaining a donor database; special event fundraising; annual fund; direct mail and internet fundraising.  The cost to attend is $20 and seating will be limited to 65 attendees. SIUE Soccer v UIC
Calling all Chicago-area alumni...Cheer the SIUE Men's Soccer team to victory when they take on the Flames of UIC on Thursday, Sept. 30. The event starts with a pre-game reception at Morgan's on Maxwell at 5:30pm.  Click here for complete details.

APhA-ASP Trivia Night
The annual Trivia Night fundraiser will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 10 at the Collinsville VFW Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m.  Cost is $100 per team of 6-8 people.

New Student Orientation
The Class of 2014 joined our ranks on August 9th, kicking off with the traditional week of “orientation activities.” Their class advisors are Drs. Keith Hecht and Miranda Nelson.

First Employer Survey
We need your help! – As we get ready for another accreditation visit from ACPE (March 23-25, 2011), the faculty committee that handles assessment is looking to complete the SOP’s first employer survey. The goal is to obtain data and input on the curriculum and other related topics.
